Biography

Layla is an undergraduate Biochemistry student at Oakland University with research interests in electrochemistry, biosensors, and biomedical applications. Her research focuses on developing cyclophane-based organic semiconductor platforms for electrochemical detection of biologically relevant analytes. She is passionate about undergraduate research and exploring innovative approaches to challenges in biomedical science. Her long-term interests center on integrating electrochemistry, biomedical research, and medicine to advance point-of-care sensing technologies and facilitate the early detection of human disease.
